About MidEast Deals
Who We Are
MidEast Deals is an independent deal-tracking site run from the UAE, built for shoppers across the Gulf region. We monitor Amazon.ae continuously and surface deals that represent real, meaningful price drops — not inflated “was” prices designed to make ordinary prices look like discounts.
The site is run by a small team of deal enthusiasts who live in the region and shop on Amazon.ae regularly. We built MidEast Deals because we were frustrated with generic deal sites that don’t account for Gulf-specific pricing, local availability, and the nuances of shopping on Amazon.ae versus other regional storefronts.
What We Track
Our automated system watches thousands of products across Amazon.ae’s catalogue, recording prices over time. When a product’s price drops meaningfully below its tracked baseline, we feature it on the site.
Categories we cover include:
- Electronics — smartphones, tablets, laptops, audio, smart home
- Mobile — accessories, chargers, cases, power banks
- Computing — RAM, storage, peripherals, monitors
- Home — kitchen appliances, furniture, bedding, cleaning
- Beauty — skincare, hair tools, personal care
- Gaming — consoles, controllers, headsets, monitors
- Health — fitness equipment, supplements, medical devices
How We Verify Deals
We don’t rely on Amazon’s displayed “was” price — these can be based on prices that haven’t been active in months. Instead, we track our own price history for each product. A deal has to show a genuine drop from a recent, sustained price point before we feature it.
Our minimum threshold is a 10% genuine discount. Many of the deals we feature are significantly deeper — 30%, 50%, or more during major sale events like White Friday and Prime Day.
What We Don’t Do
We don’t feature paid placements, sponsored deals, or products we’ve been incentivised to promote. The only revenue this site earns comes from Amazon Associates affiliate commissions on qualifying purchases — when you click through to Amazon and buy something, we may earn a small percentage. This doesn’t affect which deals we feature or how we rank them.
We also don’t manufacture urgency. If we say a deal is time-limited, it’s because Amazon has marked it as a Lightning Deal with a visible countdown. We don’t add fake “ends in X hours” timers.
Gulf-Specific Focus
Amazon.ae pricing and availability differs from Amazon.com, Amazon.co.uk, and other storefronts. Products available internationally sometimes carry Gulf-market premiums; others are priced more competitively here than elsewhere. We focus exclusively on Amazon.ae — the regional storefront — so comparisons and deal assessments are relevant to Gulf shoppers.
We note where products require UAE power adapter compatibility (Type G, 240V/50Hz), and flag items where local warranty coverage may differ from international versions.
